Auto Start
| The automatic
processing, start options,
enable Access Maintainer to
begin processing on a
scheduled cycle at a
specified date and type. This
allows you to compact all
your databases overnight
while your not using your
machine. This will ensure
that your databases are
always compact when you want
to use them. |
 |
- Select the
"Timer Start" box
to turn autostart on.
- Set the
start time in 24hr time ie.
2330 will begin processing at
11:30pm
- Set the
number of days between
processing. This means that
after the completion of
processing, Access Maintainer
will begin processing again
after the specified number of
days has elapsed.
- Set the
date on which the next
processing run should be
started (this date will be
automatically incremented by
the specified cycle days
after processing on that date
is complete).
External
Scheduling Program
Another option to schedule processing
is to use the Windows NT / 98
scheduler which allows applications
to be run on a specified cycle. This
can be achieved by specifying the /r
command line parameter. Ie.
"access maintainer.exe /r"
This will allow access maintainer to
start, complete the processing
specified in the options and close
the program on completion.
(THE \R
PARAMETER IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE
REGISTERED VERSION OF ACCESS
MAINTAINER) see Command Line
