Search Path

Access Maintainer will search the hard drives specified in the path list for files with the extension .mdb (Microsoft Access Databases). The list of file extensions which will be treated as Access databases by the program can be modified in the advanced options. see Database extensions

All subdirectories of the path(s) specified will be searched ie.

C:\ - will search the entire c: hardrive.

C:\PERSONAL\MyDatabases\ - will search the contents of the mydatabases directory and all of its subdirectories.

Files located in the search will only be processed (compacted or repaired) if their file size or date information has changed since the last time Access Maintainer has processed that database. see Clear History for a method of forcing reprocessing.

  • To Delete a search path select the required path from the list and press the <delete> key or the "Delete" button.
