   or ad-hoc basis. A free download of Access Maintainer is available. MS Access

Tip: Compact MSAccess Often

Now Supports Access 2000 Databases

 
The options screen shown at right contains all settings for the application.  (please note the Lite version for download is without the Auto Start and Startup boxes)
- The Compact database operation has been selected for all databases found. 
- Two paths have been specified to be searched - all sub directories of these paths will also be included. 
- With the "Timer Start" option ticked the program is due to start at 10 minutes past midnight on the 24th of January 1999. 
- A "Cycle Days" value of 1 indicates that program will reset to a next start of the 25th of January 1999, following processing on the 24th. 
- The final two options in the "Startup" section ensure that the program will start when windows is started and start minimized. 

On loading, Access Maintainer will show in the system tray indicating that it is active.
 - To start processing manually, select the Process Now option from the menu bar. 

- The History file lists all databases compacted or repaired previously. This ensures that only databases that have been modified are reprocessed.  Note: To force reprocessing of all files select Clear History

- Add Drives quickly finds and adds all local and LAN drives attached to your system to the search path list.
